We are glad to announce that last month we have successfully fixed a Packer Leak through CT for one of the operators in the North Sea, using our GREEN, environment-friendly resin – ResAmber® .
The well had several challenges which were considered together with the client and right adjustments to the resin design were made to achieve the goal without any issues.

ExperWELL®️ AS performed a yard test to determine the maximum flow rate of ResAmber® resin versus pressure through coiled tubing.
The result of the test showed that the resin can be pumped at significantly high pump rates, which can be further increased by manipulating the rheological properties of our resin.

ExperWELL® was nominated to the Final Round of the Call for Ideas Transforming Well Plug and Abandonment – The ‘Deliver’ Stage.
The selection process was difficult with a high level of competition, meaning that only the best ideas for transforming well P&A have been taken forward.
This call is organized by the Oil & Gas Technology Centre (OGTC) in Aberdeen, UK. ExperWELL® will present its innovative technology to a panel of OGTC members, and specialists representing different operating companies from the oil and gas industry (Centrica, Chevron, LR, Nexen, Shell, Total, Decom North Sea and Oil & Gas UK …).

Founded in 1973 as Offshore Scotland, SPE Offshore Europe is a biennial conference and exhibition that takes place in Aberdeen, Scotland. The event focuses on upstream oil and gas production and has grown into one of the largest events of its kind in Europe. ExperWELL® was nominated to the 2nd Round of the Call for Ideas Transforming Well Plug and Abandonment – The ‘Develop’ Stage. The Call is organized by the Oil & Gas Technology Centre (OGTC), Aberdeen, UK.
At the 1st Round the feedback from the evaluation panel was that ExperWELL®‘s products and technology was an interesting idea and innovative technology that potentially help transforming Well Plug and Abandonment. Therefore, ExperWELL®‘s was selected to the 2nd round of the Call.
Short introduction of the Call:
The plug and abandonment of hydrocarbon wells is the process by which a well is closed permanently, usually when there is insufficient hydrocarbon potential to complete the well or after production has drained the reservoir.
Over the next decade, 1,400 wells are forecast to be abandoned on the UK Continental Shelf 1, at a cost of c.£7 billion 2 creating a significant burden for the UK oil and gas industry and UK taxpayers.
A large proportion of these costs are driven by the need for drilling rig-based activities. Therefore, a significant opportunity exists to drastically reduce well plug and abandonment (P&A) costs, and thus total decommissioning costs, through ‘rigless’ methodologies.
The Open Innovation Programme helps OGTC to identify, accelerate and deploy innovative technologies to unlock the full potential of the UK North Sea. OGTC works with the oil and gas industry, academic institutions and the wider technology community to deliver theme-based technology showcases, Tech Talks and workshops that inspire new thinking and collaborative innovation.
The Oil & Gas Technology Centre called for innovative ideas and concepts that would have a material impact on this transformation.

KapRockTM is designed with tight cross-linking and almost no open sites in its molecular structure, making it extremely resilient to chemicals and temperature cycling.
The structure eliminates water/brine absorption problem (also known as hydrolysis). The resin is easy to handle at the wellsite. Controllable density, viscosity as well as setting time give the product the full flexibility to customize solution on site.
